Hey people.

This blog has come to an end. And new beginnings have emerged. I am now the proud owner of Get Togetha LLC. A company that has created conversation cards for keeping good company. It's been an arduous journey; but incredibley fun and worthwhile. Thanks to all of you who have and continue to support me.

The Corniest Thing....

Wow.

Starting your own business is truly an incredible life changing process. If you don't know who you are prior to starting a business then you'll truly get to know who you are after taking an incredible into the crazy risk taking roller coaster ride of entrepreneurship. Starting Get Togetha has go to be one of the boldest moves I've ever made in this crazy thing called life because I was not supposed to be here.

I was born to a mother who dropped out of school in the ninth grade. She had two kids by the time she was nineteen. I barely knew my father because he was mentally ill and killed my three year old brother by way of choke hold. My mother was never married, and is still an immigrant. I grew up on welfare, WIC, government cheese, and a neighborhood filled with rats and crack cocaine.

I'm not supposed to be here.

But I'm here. I belong to no organized religion; but I rely heavily on spirit energy and the belief that something bigger than myself continuously operates through me and keeps me pushing myself to the highest level possible for myself. I'm nothing but thankful for the courage, strength, and presence of mind that have been given to me as a gift.

I graduated college; NYU, I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, I'm a great cook, a good dancer, I'm passionate about reading, traveling, and laughing.

I'm married to the most wonderful, loving, supportive, and committed husband on the planet earth; and I want for nothing. I'm baffled at my own blessings.

God is good. All the time.

February 1

We thought we would be able to have get togetha's every week; but getting a business off the ground and getting people together proves to be a bit challenging for working class folks. If we can just come up with a way to pry people away from Netflix and Cable TV then maybe we could get the interpersonal communication ball rolling.

I thought February would turn into neveruary.
